This newly released app heralds a potential health revolution in India, mirroring Singapore's proactive approach to promoting healthier food choices through mandatory "health ratings" for packaged foods. The concept of assigning ratings (A, B, C, D) based on sugar, salt, and fat content could significantly impact consumer awareness and decision-making if implemented in India. The TruthIn app's innovative feature of providing instant health ratings by scanning barcodes aligns with the growing demand for transparency and accountability in the food industry. Developed by senior doctors and nutritionists, endorsed by a Padma-Shri winning doctor, and supported by a brand ambassador, this app has the potential to empower consumers to make informed and healthier choices.By aiming to simplify complex food labels and promote transparency, TruthIn not only holds food companies accountable for their products but also educates Indian consumers on making healthier dietary decisions. This initiative could mark a pivotal shift towards a more health-conscious society, where individuals are equipped to decipher product labels and prioritize their well-being.Embracing the motto of "Label Padhega India" to "Label Samjhega India," the TruthIn app embodies a transformative tool that has the capacity to revolutionize the way Indians perceive and select their food, ultimately fostering a culture of informed and healthier eating habits. Downloading the app and exploring its health ratings could be the first step towards a more health-conscious lifestyle for many individuals in India.

This newly released app could create a health revolution in India! Singapore government has a “health rating” mandatory for packaged food! Packaged foods in Singapore are ranked A,B,C,D based on the content of sugar, salt and fat! Imagine if something like this existed in India? Well, you don’t need to imagine anymore, there is an app TruthIn which gives a health rating once you scan the barcode of any food label! Their health rating has been created by senior doctors and nutritionists and has been verified by Padma-Shri winning doctor! I have decided to join the TruthIn app as it’s brand ambassador to help consumers make healthier choices! TruthIn’s vision is to make product labels transparent so that Indians can pick healthy food easily. This app could play a serious role in 1) Making food companies accountable for what they sell and 2) Making Indians understand complex labels so that they make healthier choices. You can download the TruthIn APP and scan a product in your kitchen to see its health rating! Ab sirf “Label Padhega India” nahi,“Label Samjhega India”!#LabelSamjhegaIndiaNatFirst orangepeople

Decoding the FSSAI Directive: A Deep Dive into Health Drink ClaimsYou’ve probably heard of the jingle,“I’m a Complan boy! I’m a Complan girl!”or perhaps- “Boost is the Secret of My Energy”or the evergreen “Horlicks — Get Taller, Stronger, Sharper.”The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India's (FSSAI) latest directive is a game-changer for the health drink industry. It's a wake-up call to brands that have long capitalized on the nutritional insecurities of parents, promising miraculous growth benefits for children. The End of Misleading Labels: The FSSAI's directive demands transparency, compelling brands to drop the "health" label if they can't substantiate their claims.Sugar: The Bitter Truth: With some drinks containing as much as 37g of sugar per 100g, it's time to question if we're nurturing our kids or nudging them towards health issues like diabetes.A Call for Regulatory Frameworks: India's lack of specific regulations for health drinks has led to this free-for-all market. The FSSAI's move is a step towards filling that void.Empowering Consumers: Knowledge is power. Accurate labeling will empower consumers to make choices that truly benefit their children's health and well-being.The Role of E-commerce: Online platforms are now tasked with ensuring that products are categorized correctly, avoiding any consumer deception. As consumers, let's support this initiative by making informed decisions and advocating for the health of the next generation. #FSSAI #HealthDrinks #NutritionFacts #ConsumerRights #ChildHealth #SugarAwareness #HealthyIndia

The #government recently (April 10, 2024) issued an advisory asking ecommerce companies to remove #Bournvita from portals' 'health drinks' category. It's time to uncover the reality behind the marketing façade of chocolaty drinks. For too long, multinational companies have misled Indian families into believing that these beverages are beneficial for our #health. I often heard the phrase "Bournvita nahi piya kya?" implying that Bournvita is essential for children's growth. However, the reality is that at that age, what truly matters is physical activity.Thankfully, voices in #India are starting to challenge this deceptive marketing. Yet, there's still much progress to be made, especially with regulatory bodies like FSSAI seemingly inactive. This serves as a crucial #reminder for us all: the skill of reading labels cannot be overstated. Let's empower ourselves with knowledge and make informed choices about what we consume. It's time to take control of our health and well-being.#ChocolatyDrinks #Health #MisleadingMarketing #FSSAI"

Bournvita: The Great Indian Milk Debate Continues! The news of Bournvita potentially being removed from the "health drink" category on e-commerce platforms has sparked a national conversation! But is this just about health labels, or something deeper? Let's explore!Beyond Health: Bournvita and the Magic of MilkWhile the sugar content might have led to the categorization change, Bournvita's significance goes beyond being a mere "health drink." It's a taste that's woven into the fabric of Indian childhood.Bournvita's Legacy: Leading the Milk ChargeThink about it - how many of us grew up with the iconic jingle "Bharat ka bacha bacha doodh pita hai Bournvita ke saath"? Bournvita, for generations, has been instrumental in getting children to enjoy milk, a crucial part of a healthy diet. The Dominating Force: Bournvita vs CompetitorsMany leading dairy brands like Amul and Mother Dairy have tried to capture the magic of Bournvita with their own milk drinks. But Bournvita continues to hold a special place in the hearts (and taste buds) of children and families. The Future of Bournvita and Milk MagicThis news might be an opportunity for Bournvita to adapt. They can refocus on the joy and taste it brings to milk consumption, or even explore sugar-conscious recipe options. As consumers, we can be more mindful of ingredients and explore healthier alternatives. The Bottom Line:The "health drink" label might change, but Bournvita's legacy as a milk-loving companion remains strong. It's a call for brands to innovate while empowering us to make informed choices. Here's why Bournvita might still be a top choice:Unmatched Taste: Bournvita's unique flavor profile makes milk truly enjoyable for children.Energy Boost: The combination of milk and Bournvita can provide a quick energy boost.Convenience: Bournvita offers a quick and easy way to make milk more appealing.Trusted Brand: Generations of families have relied on Bournvita, making it a familiar and trusted choice.Join the Conversation!#BournvitaDoodh#DoodhMeinHaiBournvita#IndiaKiMilkMagic#BournvitaTasteMemoriesBournvita might not be solely about health, but it's a delicious #salesachinhttps://lnkd.in/d3HnZkEs

Why can it no longer be kept in the health drink category? The popularity of healthy beverages is increasing in Indian households, Bournvita is a well-known name in this category. But now it cannot be considered a health drink. Which has sparked controversy and debate. Many generations in India have grown up drinking Bournvita as a ‘health drink’ and I am one of them, the reason for this is that ever since Bournvita was launched in the country, it has been shown as a health drink in advertisem*nts. . The central government has asked all e-commerce websites to remove Bournvita from the health drinks category of drinks and beverages from their platforms.Read More At - https://lnkd.in/efPW94J2 #bournvitacontroversy #Bournvita #bournvita #bournvitang #bournvitatechbootcamp #horlicks #horlickscake #horlicksmalaysia #horlicksmy #horlicksdrink #healthydrink #healthydrinkshare #healthydrinking #HealthyDrinkForKids #healthydrinksforhealthylife #healthydrinkrecipe #healthydrinksforhealthylife✌️😊 #healthydrinkspecialist #healthydrinksforkids #healthydrinkfordiabetes
