What If I Don’t Have An Iron Skillet

If you don’t have an iron skillet that is okay, you can use an 8×8 baking pan or you can also just make this on a classic pizza pan as well. The cook time will be different as it won’t be as deep dish style but it will still taste incredible.

So don’t feel you can’t make the pizza if you don’t have an oven-proof skillet that can be baked in the oven.

Iron Skillet Pizza Recipe (4)How to Store Leftover Pizza

Once your pizza is cooked and done you can let your pizza cool a bit then transfer it to an airtight container in the fridge. Now if you love to eat pizza cold, go for it!

Otherwise, I have found that placing your pizza slices in a pan on the stove and then turning on the heat to a low-medium helps to heat the pizza slowly and keeping the crust crispy while it warms up.

Microwaving pizza you might find it tends to leave your pizza soggy. This stovetop method is a great option.

Double The Recipe

Go ahead and make multiple pizzas if you would like. The biggest thing is just cooking 1-2 pizzas at a time or whatever you can fit in your oven. Be cautious to cook on the lowest rack as it can tend to burn the bottom of the crust on pizza.
