Strawberry Snow Ice Cream is such a fun and flavorful twist on creamy classic Snow Ice Cream! Adalyn has been loving all things strawberry lately and when I mentioned making chocolate snow ice creamthis afternoon, she asked if it was possible to make strawberry snow ice cream. Her wish is my command.

She’s a girl after my own heart getting creative – especially when it comes to dessert! Making strawberry snow ice cream is incredibly simple and requires just four ingredients.

It’s a quick and easy recipe that kids can help make! Simply prep the ingredients and chill until the kiddos bring in a bowl of fresh snow!

Making ice cream from snow is easy, but there is one variable – your snow! Today’s snow was blended with sleet, which means it didn’t quickly melt, but it’s slightly more icy in texture. Don’t miss my tips below for successful snow ice cream, every time.

Strawberry Snow Ice Cream Ingredients

  • Cream – Heavy cream, Half and Half, or Whole Milk are preferred but you can use whatever you have on hand. Use strawberry milk for extra flavor or make it with rice milk to make it naturally dairy-free!
  • Fresh Strawberries – Puréed strawberries adds natural flavor and color. Simply purée in a food processor. Strawberry Nesquik also adds a delicious strawberry flavor synonymous with traditional strawberry ice cream.
  • White Granulated Sugar – Sweetens this delicious treat.
  • Snow – You will need several cups of fresh snow it tends to melt quickly, bring in more than you need and freeze until you’re ready to make ice cream. You can use fresh shaved ice if you prefer. Fresh fallen snow is generally consideredsafe to consumeas long as it’s clean. Enjoy in the first 24 hours.

Tips for Making Ice Cream with Snow

  • Gather ingredients and make your mixture first before bringing in snow as it will quickly melt. You can always pop it in the freezer, if needed.
  • Be sure to blend sugar into milk mixture first to help the sugar dissolve so it doesn’t result in a gritty dessert.
  • Your result will largely depend on what kind of snow you have. If needed, freeze your snow for a few minutes first. If you have a wet snow, you’ll use less milk or cream. A dry snow may use more.
  • You can blend in more snow as needed to reach the desired consistency.
  • As you can see below, you can also make this recipe with strawberry Nesquick. If you go this route, eliminate sugar in this recipe!
