Eclectic was probably the best outcome for me because I like things from almost every style. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really guide you when selecting pieces, so I just buy what I like and if it doesn’t really “go” I just say “well, I’m eclectic.” HaHa

I live next to the Mississippi River and my newly built house is a dream come true. The quiz says 43% coastal. I have difficulty in combining antique furniture and cobalt blue glass while maintaining a coastal vibe. Any suggestions?

Well, cobalt blue glass definitely has a coastal feel! I would just make sure the antique furniture you’re adding feels connected. Anything in gray tones or whitewashed will definitely have the coastal vibe. xx -B

This was such fun to do. Brilliant quiz. I live in a timber framed cottage built in 1600 in England and it’s a very eclectic mix of pieces bought on our travels and much loved old family pieces which have to fit round all the wood, so the quiz result was spot on, a little bit of everything which is very us.

That quiz was a challenge! I found #1 difficult to answer and wondered what in the world this could actually tell me…but low and behold-I tied for traditional and modern organic, and that fits me to a tee! (At least for the mood I’m in tonight). I’m going to can my style “traditional organic”. I love your website, your products and seeing the spaces you transform on television. You never cease to amaze!

I got a wide range of styles, mostly coastal and Scandanavian, which tickles me because I am a very long way from a beach or Europe. If I could have a “painted lady” Victorian house with a Scandanavian intertior I would love it.

So the design quiz was really interesting, and I have a question. I like a minimalist style because I have allergies, and everything needs moved and dusted. Many designs I look at and wonder how long will it take to move and dust everything? Is there a way to style minimally and still have it look nice?

I can see the coastal style, I have always been confused about my design style. I love baskets and stuff made with rope, I’ve become stuck on making my own baskets with jute twine. I love light too like white and light grey with subtle pops of colors. At the same time not to much white though I don’t like white kitchens at all, but I love watching design shows and love the define even though most seen to have lots of white kitchens.

I lean more towards a modern , glam & I love bold black and white prints and metallics especially gold . How do I get the look I want on a budget , that’s kid friendly and where do I begin ? Eclectic is such a unique and individual style, there aren’t any hard and fast rules about what you can and can’t incorporate. As long as you are keeping balance, contrast, and scale in mind, you can really add pieces from any style. xx -B

I really didn’t feel as though the style picked from the quiz was me. I got Modern Organic. Which I do love that look and feel, but I love Eclectic, Boho, Scandinavian Mid-century, and some Modern Farmhouse. I’m all about comfort, some color, not too modern, not country.
Would that be considered as eclectic?
